Answer:

The second place right of the decimal point is the hundredths place. If the next digit is 0 through 4, the hundredths digit remains the same. If the next digit is 5 through 9, the hundredths digit goes up by 1.

a) 7.208 , 7.21 (the 8 causes the 0 to go up to 1)

b) 4.871 , 4.87

c) 0.5609 , 0.56

d) 1.81545 , 1.82 (the 8 causes the 1 to go up to 2)

e) 9.8542, 9.85
