The customer will pay $3.57 for the greeting card
Step-by-step explanation:
The card originally costs $4 before tax and is discounted by 15%
0.15 x 4 = 0.6
4 - 0.6 = 3.4
Then the 5% sales tax is added:
0.05 x 3.4 = 0.17
3.4 + 0.17 = 3.57
