Differenciate between religious songs and secular songs

Sacred (religious) music and Secular music were the two main genres of Western music during the Middle Ages and Renaissance Era. Sacred music could only be created by members of the church, especially those trained in theoretical and practical aspects of their religion (typically Catholic and Protestant Christian traditions). Secular music is non-religious music created for and by all, and especially not intended for the church.
