Democracy is defined as the government that is elected by the people of the country and in democracy, the population get many rights for their protection.

The Capitol has a collection of statues representing people from each State reflects the idea of representative democracy as the collection has nine women statues which means equal rights of men and women under democracy; there are many statues of American Indians and African-American which shows that democracy has provided rights to immigrants; and many statues of Catholic clergy or father represents freedom of religion under democracy.

Statues from each states represents that there are equal rights of people in each state under democracy and each people is treated equally and honored for their contribution.
