Add the fractions and simplify the answer:2 1/4+5 5/6+3 2/3​

Look at the lower part of the fractions. 4, 6, and 3 can all be multiplied by something to equal 60 (there’s probably a lower number, it’s just the first one I thought of). Multiply 1/4 by 15, and you’ll get 15/60. Multiply 5/6 by 10, and you’ll get 50/60. Multiply 2/3 by 20, and you’ll get 40/60. Add them all together and you will get 105/60, or 1 45/60. If we add that to the whole numbers which are remaining, then we’ll get 11 and 45/60. Lastly, we need to simplify. This part is easy, because 45/60 is simply 3/4. Meaning the answer is 11 and 3/4.
