Why was Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, Hungary Assisinated?

The reason for this question is because the Archduke was assasinated, and thats what immediately caused world war one. Franz Ferdinand was very important man, assisinated on june 28 1914. He was the heir to the throne of Austria Hungary. The reason i ask this question is because they knew they would be going into war by assasinating Ferdinand, so why kill, the heir to the Austrian throne and ally of Germany? Because of Politics, Or orders from Serbian Authorites.
