Corruption is a social problem because it requires a powerful position for it to occur. An example of this could be if the leader of your household is corrupt the whole place becomes corrupted too, this especially applies to government positions too. It also disrupts the trust between the people and the leaders of a group. The leaders have to be entrusted and elected first to have power. The corruption of the leaders affects in the group so it is a social problem.
