Answer:

Answer: A each characters is viewed in different way by the time the story concludes.

Step-by-step explanation:

After Roger had initially attempted to steal the Mrs. Jones's purse and she roughed him up a bit, we get the idea that she is a no-nonsense woman who will punish Roger for trying to steal her purse. However as the story progresses we learn that she is an empathetic woman especially given Roger's circumstances as she had been through similar things herself. She takes care of him and then lets him loose and we move from having a rough impression of her to a kinder one.

Roger too was the same. At first he was this teenage purse snatcher who was a simple criminal but during the conversation with Mrs. Jones he becomes a scared little boy. When he gets to the house he is more subdued and after hearing Mrs. Jones talk about how she was once like him, he did not want to disappoint her by running. In the end he is grateful so we go from seeing him as a thief to a well-mannered boy.

HOPE THIS HELPS A LOT! <3
