number and two is subtracted from the second number, the quotient of the new numbers is 11/16
Determine the numbers algebraically.

Answer:

x+4

x+1-2=x-1

Explanation:

x+4/x-1=11/16 x should be different than 1 cz 1-1=0

16(x+4)=11(x-1)

16x+64=11x-11

16x-11x=-11-64

5x=-75

x=-15
