Answer:

the standard form a linear equation is

y = mx + c

therefore m = -3

parallel lines have equal gradient therefore the gradient of the equation is m = -3

coordinates for the x intercept (1;0)

y = mx + c

for x intercept let y = 0

0 = -3(1) + c

c = 3

therefore the equation is

y = -3x + 3
