Explanation:
3/4a - 16 = 2/3a + 14 ⇒ collect like terms
3/4a - 2/3a = 14 + 16 ⇒ bring the fractions to same denominator
9/12a - 8/12a = 30 ⇒ simplify fraction
1/12a = 30 ⇒ multiply both sides by 12
a = 30*12
a = 360 ⇒ answer
