the above question simply means that

{X+3X-K X+4} - k

is exactly divisible by (X -2)

to find the value of K, put X= 2

2+3(2)-K(2)+4-k=0

2+6-2K+4-K = 0

12-3K = 0

12 = 3K

K = 12/3 = 4

K= 4
