2x - 15 = 3(2x + 3)

Distribute the 3

3 * 2x = 6x

3 * 3 = 9

2x - 15 = 6x + 9

Subtract 2x from both sides

-15 = 4x + 9

Subtract 9 from both sides

-24 = 4x

Divide both sides by 4

-6 = x
