well first the values of x-7 have to be greater than 1 or, less than -1

because if x-7=-2 then |-2|=2>1 satisfying the equation

so we have


x-7>1\\\\x-7+7>1+7\\\\x>8

and we have


x-7<-1\\\\x-7+7<-1+7\\\\x<6

to graph it it goes from (-∞,6)∪(8,∞)
