11.1
subtract 6,000 - 5,400 to get 600
600 divided by 5400 then times 100

Answer

11.1111 % or 11/1/9 %

Explanation:

Hello there?

Given such a problem, use this formula;

( (amount \ \: of \: increase: )/(original \: amount) * \: 100)\%

From the above values;

We have: Original value = 5400 people

Final Value = 6000 people

Amount increase = (Final Value - Original value)

= 600 people

Substituting the values to our formula;

(600 ÷ 5400) × 100 %

= 1/9 × 100 %

= 11/1/9 % or 11.1111 %

NB:

Whenever you have been given such a problem, you have to consider two things first:

a. the original and final values

b. the formula you are going to use (so that you won't fail)

c. Subtract the original value from the final values to get the increment.

I hope this helps you to understand the solution of the problem more.

Thank you. Have a nice studies.
