What is the slope of the line through the
coordinates (5, 1) and (6, 7)

The slope of the line is 6

Explanation:

Step one, Use the formulato calculate slope from coordinates m=
(y_(2)-y_(1) )/(x_(2)-x_(1) )

Step 2, Plug in the values(7 being
{y_(2) , 1 being
y_(1), 6 being
x_(2), and 5 being
x_(1)

Step 3, Your formula should now look like this
(7-1 )/(6-5 )

Step 4, Once you have this do the math, subtracting 1 from 7 and 5 from 6

Step 5, You should now have
(6)/(1) if you did everything correctly, if this is the case, just simplify
(6)/(1) to get 6, and now you have your slope.

Slope=6 because the slope travels upwards by 6
