Answer:

Characters:

Tessie Hutchinson - Loser of the Lottery

Old Man Warner -Oldest man in the village

Mr. Summers - Lottery conductor

Bill Hutchinson - Tessie Hutchinson's husband

Mr. Harry Graves - Postmaster

Motivation:

Family and Rules. Although family relationships determine almost everything about the lottery, they do not guarantee loyalty or love after the lottery is over. The lottery is filled with rules that can be randomly followed or disregarded.

Action:

There was a lottery in a small village on June 27. The lottery lasted for 2 hours due to the population of the village compared to other villages where it takes longer.

The rules of the lottery is that Mr. Summers will read names, and the family heads come up and draw a slip of paper. No one should look at the paper until everyone has drawn.

Tessie Hutchinson and her family joins the crowd.

Tessie was eventually stoned by the villagers for losing the game.
