Juan went to the store to buy some apples. The price per pound of the apples is $4 per pound and he has a coupon for $1.25 off the final amount. With the coupon, how much would Juan have to pay to buy 4 pounds of apples? Also, write an expression for the cost to buy p pounds of apples, assuming at least one pound is purchased.

$14.75
4p-1.25=x
(I’m not sure which variable to use so I just used x) also if the equation is supposed to be written as if you’re using the coupon, then you use the -1.25 to the total purchase. Good luck!
