2x + 3y = 11 → (1)

3x = 12 ( divide both sides by 3 )

Substituting into (1)

2(4) + 3y = 11

8 + 3y = 11 ( subtract 8 from both sides )

3y = 3 ( divide both sides by 3 )

y = 1

Solution is (4, 1 )
