Answer;

The Historical Method allows Historians to show to the world as accurately as possible, the events of the past.

It has 5 steps which include;

  1. Collect - This is the first step of the method and involves the historian collecting information in the first place. This is done from both primary and secondary sources.
  2. Classify and date - In this step, the data is divided and classified into two main distinct groups being Written records and Archaeological remains. After this the historian then attempts to date the information so as to find out which period and/or people the information may have originated from.
  3. Analyze - It is very important that historical data is as accurate as possible and that is why this step is important. The historian must analyze the data to ensure that it is genuine.
  4. Interpret - The Historian would then attempt to discover the meaning behind the information by interpreting it.
  5. Synthesize - After all the steps are done, the information is then collated and presented in a suitable manner.
