Aaron’s score is 110, and Betty’s score is 210.
Aron’s score is x,
Betty’s score is 2(x-5).
X+2(x-5)=320,
Distribute 2 to get
x+2x-10=320;
Add like terms (terms with x, and add 10 to both sides to get
3x=330;
Divide both sides by 3 to get
X= 110
Aaron’s score is 110.
Plug in 110 instead of x in the Betty’s score equation to get
2(110-5);
Solve to get 2 *105=210. It’s Betty’s score.
