We have:

h - height

b = 2h - base

A = 36 - area

so:

A=(1)/(2)\cdot b\cdot h\\\\A=(1)/(2)\cdot 2\cdot h \cdot h\\\\A=h^2\\\\36=h^2\quad|√((\dots))\\\\\boxed{h=6}
