Here’s my completion of these clauses:

In the forest lived a doe and her two offspring.

Smashing against the bat, the tennis ball flew ten feet high.

Before our first class, Judy told me to wait for her in the hallway, and she left without another word.

After the snowstorm, we were stuck indoors with no view of the outside world.

I am aware of the error that I made when speaking to him, but he’s left already.

Between a rock and a hard place, choosing to leave her behind had to be one of the worst consequences.

Broken shards of glass rung out from the kitchen, startling the family from their seats.

Because of her beautiful smile, it made him feel a spark of hope, and that hope would stick with him throughout the rest of the day.

Because she smiled at him, her friend wouldn’t stop pestering her about having a crush.
