Let the first positive number be = x

And the second consecutive positive number is = x+1

x + (x + 1) = 49

2x + 1 = 49

2x = 49 - 1

2x = 48

x = 24

the first number x = 24

the second consecutive number x+1 = 24 + 1 = 25

Thus, 7 square = 24 + 25 (the sum of two consecutive positive numbers.)
