If point B is the midpoint of points A and C, find the value of x and AC. AB= 5x - 2, BC= 9x -10

AC = 6 ÷ 7

x = 2

Given that

AB = 5x - 2

BC = 9x - 10

So,

AC = AB + BC

= 5x - 2 + 9x - 10

14x -12 = 0

AC = 6 ÷ 7

5x - 2 = 9x - 10

5x - 9x = -10 +2

-4x = -8
