Given that ∆DFG ~ ∆RPQ, therefore,
(DF)/(PR) = (DG)/(QR) = (FG)/(QP) (similarity theorem).

DF = 10

PR = 8

DG = 5

QR = 4

QP = 5

FG = x


(10)/(8) = (5)/(4) = (x)/(5)

Using
(5)/(4) = (x)/(5) , solve for x

cross multiply:


4*x = 5*5


4x = 25


x = (25)/(4)


x = 6.25
