im not that good at maths but i can solve some stuff but some i just have no clue help 5x - 11 =3 [ x - 9]

if im understanding right the answer should be x = -1

Explanation:

5x - 11 = 3x - 9

subtract 3x

2x -11 = -9

add 11

2x = -2

divide by 2

x = -1
