That means there is a always a gap of 2 in between each of them. Knowing this, we can set up an equation. Let x represent the first of the consecutive integers.

x+(x+2)=36

x+2 represents the second consecutive interger

x+x=34

2x=34

x=17

The two integers are 17 and 19
