Answer:

Arliss needs
4 (1)/(3) yards more.

Explanation:

We can look at the fractions
2 (1)/(3) and
3 (1)/(3) and add them up.

Looking at the whole numbers,
2+3=5.

Looking at the fractional parts,
(1)/(3) + (1)/(3) = (2)/(3).

So all together, she currently has
5 (2)/(3) yards.

If she wants to get to 10, we need to find how many more yards we need.

Let's level it out quickly - having
(1)/(3) more of a yard will give is 6 yards.

10-6=4, so in total we added

4 (1)/(3) more yards.

So she needs
4 (1)/(3) more yards.

Hope this helped!
