Once upon a time.....

There was a small tortoise, now you might say, hey! Tortoises aren't small! Well, this tortoise was small because it was a baby, and it had no shell!!! Poor guy had no home and it got squished by all of its siblings a lot! Now, a little girl was skipping along the beach, her name was Lila, and when she saw the little tortoise with no shell, she felt sorry for it! "Aww, I will make you a shell" she announced. She ran to her house, which was not far away, and got a small plastic bowl. after painting it green (with glitter, of course) she knelt down next to the turtle and set the bowl gently on its back. The tortoise turned its little head around to marvel at its new shell. "Thank you" it thought as the little girl ran home.

There used to be an expedient rabbit who gloated about how quick he could run. Tired of hearing him gloat, Slow and Steady, the turtle, provoked him to a race. All the creatures in the woodland accumulated to watch.

Rabbit ran not far off for some time and afterward stopped to rest. He glanced back at Slow and Steady and shouted out, "How would you hope to win this race when you are strolling along at your moderate, slow pace?"

Rabbit extended himself close by the street and nodded off, thinking, "There is a lot of time to unwind."

Gradual strolled and strolled. He never under any circumstance halted until he went to the end goal. The creatures who were viewing applauded so uproariously Tortoise, they woke up Hare.

Rabbit extended and yawned and started to run once more, however it was past the point of no return. Turtle was over the line. From that point onward, Hare consistently reminded himself, "Don't gloat about your lightning pace, for Slow and Steady won the race!"
