Simplified?


5 √( - 8r)
Im just confused on how the negative 8 will play out, and same with the non exponential variable.​

5*sqrt(-8r) =
5i*sqrt(8r) =
10i*sqrt(2r)


The i is an 'imaginary number' and it represents the square root of -1.

5√(-1 * 2 * 2 * 2 * r)

=
5i√(2^2 * 2 * r) (i = the square root of -1)

=
5i * 2√(2 r)
