How do I determine if -3x+y =8 is a function?

Answer- To determine if Y=-8 is a function, you must do the vertical line test. If you were to plot Y=-8 on a coordinate plane, you would see that at the point of (0,-8)[which is what Y=-8 is also] is on the Y axis and makes a horizontal linet hat passes through (o,-8).

You need to see if it passes the vertical line test, then graph it to see if it is but is a function tho.
