How has the Electoral College changed over the years? Do you think it should be abolished or should it stay? Please give me your opinions on it. I need to learn more for an essay of mine. Thank you in advance. (I know the subject is history but I've come to realize people have a better chance of seeing this if you say math or something more common for people to be interested in or good at).

Anwser: In my opinion the electoral college should be abolished and replaced with a better system of voting. The electoral college has many outdated flaws that have essentially worsened our voting system. First of all, the electoral college prevents U.S citizens from winning with the popular vote. When you hear this statement you might think, “Why should the popular vote matter?” Well, America clearly isn’t a monarchy. And by letting people with a higher status vote for the American people sort of make America an Oligarchy. America is supposed to be a democracy but, if you let the electoral college dictate the results of the election, it messed up. There have been multiple times when 2 people are running for presidency, and the one with the popular vote loses because of the flaws of the electoral college. So, yeah. There’s a few pointers for your essay and I hope it helps. :)
