Answer:

x = 17

Explanation:

(whole secant) x (external part) = (whole secant) x (external part)

(x+7) * 7 = ( 13+8) *8

(x+7) * 7 = ( 21) *8

Divide each side by 7

x+7 = 21/7 *8

x+7 = 3*8

x+7 = 24

Subtract 7

x = 17
