Explanation:

(1)/(x^-(1/2)) that's 3 goes into -3 leaving 1 and goes into 6 leaving 2

1/2 is same as 2^-1

so therefore we can simplify the above as

x^-(-1/2)

x^(1/2)

and 4^(1/2)

is same as √(4)

so we conclude as

√(x)
