Why is digestion of fats difficult as compared to that of other nutrients?

Answer:

Fats take longer time to digest than carbohydrates. Fats can't be digested easily as its insoluble in water and are presented as large globules. The bile juice that gets secreted breaks down the fat from bigger droplets into smaller ones.

This is because fats are insoluble in water and therefore are more difficult to digest than any other nutrients. They also present as large globules.
