Answer:

x=-2 x=-1

Explanation:

f(x)=x² +3x+2

Set the function equal to zero

0=x² +3x+2

Factor

What 2 numbers multiply to 2 and add to 3

2*1 = 2

2+1 = 3

0 = ( x+2) (x+1)

Using the zero product property

x+2 =0 x+1 =0

x=-2 x=-1
