3x - 4y = -5
4y = 3x + 5
y = (3/4)x + 5/4
8x + 6y = -5
6y = -8x - 5
y = -(8/6)x - 5/6
y = -(4/3)x - 5/6
Because the slopes are negative reciprocals, the lines are perpendicular.
