If f(x)=3-2x and g(x)= 1/x+5 what is the value of (f/g) (8)​

(f/g) = (3 - 2x ) / (1/x + 5) You could go to the trouble to simplify all of this, but the easiest way is to just put in the 8 where you see an x

(f/g)8 = (3 - 2*8) / (1/8 + 5)

(f/g)/8 = (3 - 16 / (5 1/8) 1/8 = 0.125

(f/g) 8 = - 13 / ( 5.125)

(f/g)8 = - 2.54
