slope = 1

Explanation:

midpoint of (2, 4) and (0, -2)

(2 + 0)/2 = 1 and (4 + -2)/2 = 1

(1, 1)

midpoint of (5, 1) and (1, 5)

(5 + 1)/2 = 3 and (1 + 5)/2 = 3

(3, 3)

slope = (3-1)/(3-1) = 2/2 = 1
