Explanation:

The diagonals of a parallelogram bisect each other, thus

AE = CE , substitute values

11x - 3 = 12 - 4x ( add 4x to both sides )

15x - 3 = 12 ( add 3 to both sides )

15x = 15 ( divide both sides by 15 )

x = 1
