It's also related to what the question is asking about and it's a more simple answer. I wouldn't think B or C is what they would ask about because it's not really related to the food chain. For D, it's a really good question. But, the food chain only shows a Plankton going to shrimp and so on. D is a bit more into deep thought and it doesn't really relate to the picture either.
