His Brain becomes as soft as Breeze is simile because a comparison is being made by using the word ‘as or like’.
His powers of thinking rust and freeze is a metaphor here a direct comparison is being made between his power of thinking to the rust and freeze.
It Clogs and clutters is an alliteration (the c sound)
A Fantasy, A fairyland is also an alliteration (the f sound)
His brain becomes as soft and breeze is also an alliteration (the B sound)

Answer: "His brain becomes as soft as cheese" is a simile

"His powers of thinking rust and freeze" is a metaphor.

Explanation: Simile uses "like" or "as" in the comparison. A metaphor creates a mental image by associating characteristics of something like rusted metal with another thing-- like a brain-- that doesn't actually have the characteristics; it's just to help you imagine.
