Why do you think it's important to study past climate to predict future
climate?

That’s a good question. To answer that, continental drift has affected today’s climate. At one point, the climate used to be cold and oceanic. Geologic records (models that show past climate) can prove that natural patterns cause a dramatic shift in climate. Hope this helps!
