Equation of line ; y= 5x +17.

From the equation slope of line = 5

Intercept = 17

Slope of perpendicular line = - 1/5 ( negative reciprocal)

Using the equation :

y - y1 = m(x - x1)

From the Point given:

x1 = 29, y1 = 8

y - 8 = (- 1/5)(x - 29)

y - 8 = -1/5x + 29/5

y = -1/5x + 29/5 + 8

Multiply through by 5

y = - x + 29 +40

y = - x + 69
