He learned about a simile
A simile makes a comparison between two things using the words “like” or “as” (Ex. He is as quick as a cheetah)
A metaphor makes a comparison between two things without using the words “like” or “as” (Ex. He is a chicken)
Personification is giving a human trait to something non-human (Ex. The flowers danced in the wind)
