Power consumption = (voltage) x (current)

Power = (120 V) x (1.5 A)

Power = 180 watts

But 1 watt = 1 Joule/second

180 watts = 180 Joule/second

Energy consumption of the light bulb =

(180) x (number of seconds it's turned on) Joules
