Multiply (1) by 10 and (2) by 1

Subtract (4) from (3)

120v = 1320

v = 11

Substitute v = 11 into (1)

13(11) + 1b = 184

143 + b = 184

b = 184 - 143

b = 41

Number of students van can carry = 11

Number of students bus can carry = 41
