First of all we will take any real number x different from 0, -2, +2 as dividing by 0 is not allowed and then we can write


(( - x - 2))/(x(x^2 - 4))=-(x+2)/(x(x-2)(x+2))=\large \boxed{ -(1)/(x(x-2))}

x^2-4=x^2-2^2=(x-2)(x+2)
