You must assume the Response factor, RF, (How many area is produced from a quantity of compound) are equal.

Thus, if compound 1 has a peak are of 6.1 and compound 2 an area of 5.4. You can assume, thus, the quantity of 1 is 6.1 and quantity of 2 is 5.4

Percent composition is defined as 100 times the ratio between amount of 1 and total amount of compounds in the mixture. For compound 1 is:

(6.1 / 6.1+5.4) × 100 =

53% of compound 1 in the mixture
